The Open Door Pantry, located in Dakota County, provides access to fresh and nourishing food to people in need. Each year, gardeners from the community grow food for the food pantry to distribute to those in need. This plant donation will be delivered to The Open Door Pantry in May to be used during their growing season. With your help, our goal is to donate 500 plants to Open Door this spring!
The Open Door Pantry’s Mission: “We believe that everyone deserves access to healthy food. The Open Door is Dakota County’s largest hunger relief organization, powered by neighbors helping neighbors. We make sure everyone who needs it has access to the freshest, healthiest food—delivered with dignity and care.
Each month, we serve 25,000 people across Dakota County, and in 2024, we distributed more than 4.5 million pounds of food. We focus solely on fresh, perishable, and nourishing options, with over 75% of the food we distribute being fresh.”
